The Global Aquaculture Alliance’s Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) division invites new auditor candidates and returning auditors requiring refresher training to attend a BAP auditor training course in Hialeah, Florida, USA, from Nov. 28 to Dec. 3.

The course is also open to industry observers, including government officials, producers and other industry stakeholders who wish to learn more about the BAP certification standards and auditing process.

The course will cover all of the BAP standards, including three sets of standards that have been revised or added to the program in recent months — the seafood processing plant standard (Issue 4, Revision 2), salmon farm standards (Revision 2) and the mollusk farm standards, which were introduced in the spring.

The registration deadline is Nov. 11. The course is being held at Shula’s Hotel and Golf Club, which is located in the Miami Lakes neighborhood of Hialeah, just northwest of downtown Miami.
